My name is Melanie Champagne, the sole proprietor of My Magical Emporium. This journey started as a search for knowledge that birthed itself into a gift to share with all. My journey started when I was doing some deeper soul searching in 1995. That was when I picked up a book on The Wiccan belief system, although I have always been involved in the craft, I had only taken it as my true religion after in engulfing myself into the book Good Magic. It was then my mind, body and soul connected and I knew this was my true path. From there my soul yearned for more, it took me on a path of self discovery. Leading me into my first official course in bettering myself, that course would change my path forever. I have been a practitioner of Usui Reiki ever since. I would practice solitary Magic and healing for a few years on my own, getting more comfortable with the “NEW ME”. By this time I was also bringing up 2 small boys, who were being introduced into what it meant to be magical, (self belief, self healing, self accountability and self worth). To truly lead my family and myself I had dove head first into what it meant to be the leader of a pack. I contained my studies in stones, oils, herbs, self discovery, Gods, Goddesses, moon phases, astrology , energy, whatever I could get my brain into was what I set my mind to learn. In 1999 I with a few other people started The Coven of the Midnight Spirits, a chosen family where we could honor and exploring what it meant to be a Witch. I continued my learning as the Coven would be a place to teach and learn. I acquired my certificate in aromatherapy early in 2000! I love oils and creating new scents that would bring me to different times, places and lands all with one sniff how crazy right! This lead me further into the healing path. In 2006 this path leads me to herbalism where I graduated at the top of my class. I can't tell you how much I love making medicines, tinctures, potions and notions! I’m not sure how I would survive without my herbs, as growing up my mom always had an herb garden for me to play in! Quantum Touch was next on the list where I achieved a certificate as a healer and teacher of Quantum Touch. In 2007 I was ordained as a Universal Minister. Next I achieved a certificate in Blue Star Celestial Energy Healing. By this point I am and am honored and fortunate enough to have become one of the High Priestess of The Coven of Midnight Spirits. I have also been working in a Metaphysical Store (Alternate Realities) for a few years. By the time 2007 rolled around I had been married for 7 years (after 6 years and 2 amazing boys, my boyfriend had finally popped the question and in 2000 we were married). I felt my life was finally complete. NOPE the universe had other plans for me. I was pregnant…. Not such a big deal you think….. Well it kind of was because, in 1997 my husband had a vasectomy (yes he had a follow up and was cleared) and in early 2000 I had cancer and the radiation would make my womb sterile. In August of 2008 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Along with my Coven it was now OUR job to instill all we had practiced and learned over the years into her just as we had the boys. All my leanings over the years would be tested with the girl who chose me to be her Mom. (Check Maelie’s Story). By popular demand My Magical Emporium came to life in 2010. I had had such great results when creating solutions to my friends and families ailments it was time to open up my products to the Public. I have always tried to keep my prices as reasonable as i possibly can as i know the people who need them the most often do not have the means to supply themselves with such high end products. I first started with Farmers markets then Craft fairs next onto Renaissance Fairs from there MME was a force to be reckoned with. We (My trust sidekick, MOM and I) added more metaphysical items such as stones, pendulums, tarot cards, ruins and books to our displays. THENNNNNNNN the pandemic, yup… we have been on the sidelines ever since. As of now in 2024 my family is what I am most proud of. The boys are now 32 and 27 they are both amazing people who are an asset to society and to this universe. Maelie is a 15 year old sophomore, high honor art student showing amazing potential. They are all so beautiful and perfect in in their own magnificent way. They are my sunshine, my every breath and the highlight of my every living moment. If I have learnt anything in my 51 years of life it is: The path you walk in on this universe is not yours alone. People, places, things, tragedies and blessings are all there to teach you something (they are the footprints of our life). What you chose to do with this is how you become who you are. I had never intended on selling any of the medicines I have made as they were created for specific individuals with their own specific ailments in mind. However, the universe insisted I heal others with the medicines I had created with such love and intent. Not a day goes by that I am not learning something new. There are so many stones, crystals, herbs and healing techniques in the universe how can I ever learn them all in one lifetime. Then there are all the Astrology signs, Symbols, Gods, Goddesses, Religions, Energies, Animals, Elementals, I can go on and on and on.
